Today on Father’s Day, June 19, 2016, I wish all of the father’s a day that is full of heartfelt celebration with your loved ones. To the moms who are also dad, I take my hat off to you–it’s a tough job to fill both roles.
What Father’s Day Means To Me
Being a father means reprioritizing your life so that someone other than yourself comes first. Everything in my life changed for me the day I became a father. In that one moment, I realized life had a whole new meaning. It was no longer about me any longer. It was about keeping this precious new life alive and taking care of my daughter.
Being a father is one of the most important jobs I have in life and everyday I am grateful that I have this awesome responsibility and opportunity. I think any dad out there knows what it’s like to have the feeling inside where they would be willing to do anything, even give their own life, for their offspring.
I wish you all a Happy Father’s Day and hope that you enjoy this day with your dad or children in a way that honors fatherhood.
