Steven Avery Hires New Attorney With New Suspects

On September 11, 2003 Steven Avery was exonerated with DNA proof that he was wrongfully convicted of rape–a crime he served nearly twenty years for that he didn’t commit. Now Steven Avery faces life in prison for the conviction of the October 31, 2005 murder of 25-year-old Teresa Halbach.
 
The Avery case has become a true crime infotainment Netflix series called Making a Murderer.

The complicated details of the murder case leave a lot of wiggle room for speculation and conspiracy theories. The did he, didn’t he, was he or wasn’t he framed with planted evidence Steven Avery case is riveting the nation. Proof of that is in the ratings and popularity of the The Netflix documentary style series that was filmed over ten years. Steven Avery New Attorney

Steven Avery has a new attorney, Kathleen Zellner, who speaks out in Newsweek claiming she has new suspects in the murder trial of victim Teresa Halbach. Of the Netflix documentary, Zellner says, “I think the good thing about the Netflix documentary was that it educated the public. Investigations can be corrupt. Evidence can be planted. Police officers can feel sufficiently pressured. This case comes down to a couple of people I believe planting the evidence.”
