SXSW is for the movers and shakers of the world that want to be in the know of what is happening next.  Annually held in Austin, Texas–where I am this weekend also for the National Speaker Association event–this influential global event brings 24/7 entertainment to one of my favorite cities.

Between music, film, interactive, exhibitions and an endless schedule of keynote speakers, the SXSW festival is like candy for business and brands to learn how to stay current in the ever changing world today.  If you are wondering how to take your business to the next level, then I highly recommend getting out of your four office walls and immersing yourself in an event like this mega mix of creative innovation.

What’s on my must see / do / explore list at SXSW?  The event takes over Austin from March 11th to the 20th and one could forgo sleep altogether for the near ten days while hopping from venue to venue.

As a keynote speaker myself, I enjoy listening to others share their wisdom on stage. Here are three keynote speakers on my MUST-SEE list of people to see in Austin at SXSW:

Gale Anne Hurd – Tuesday, March 15th at 11AM in the Vimeo Theater

Gale Anne Hurda is known for producing the Terminator trilogy, Aliens, The Waterdance, and more.

Kevin Plank – Monday, March 14, 2016 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the Austin Convention Center

Kevin Plank is the founder of Under Armour the workout clothing empire which is a reported revenue generator of $4 billion.  Kevin Plank reportedly created Under Armour from his grandma’s basement in 1995.

Andy Puddicombe – Tuesday, March 15, 2015 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the Austin Convention Center

Andy Puddicombe is the co-founder of Headspace meditation app and is a former Buddhist monk.  His platform Headspace is a virtual mediation gymnasium for the mind. His talk is called “We All Need To Get A Little Head Space.

What else am I doing at SXSW?  If you know me, you know I am a music lover. My workout playlist is primarily old school rock and classic music–which maybe the only thing that gets me through my rigorous routine.   (Be sure to check out my workout playlist on Spotify here.)  But when cultural festivals like SXSW come along that integrate the best of innovation, technology, music and film, I can’t help but tip my hat to the up and coming bands that make the trek out to Austin to entertain.

If you are fortunate enough to have an all access pass to the madness that is SXSW, be sure to check out my picks for bands to see while you visit the big state of Texas next month.  Listen here on my Spotify SXSW 2016 playlist.

If you’re not heading out to the festival, then just hit play and enjoy some new tunes! Let the music motivate you to make today worth waking up for!
