The June 2016 Darren Kavinoky Book Club selection is an edge of your seat page turning fiction crime thriller.
“The Girl on the Train” a novel by Paula Hawkins
I can’t believe it’s the end of June and already the end of our second Book Club selection! I hope you enjoyed reading the Paul Hawkins novel “The Girl on the Train.” I know it kept me on the edge of my seat! I love when a book keeps me guessing and avoids predictable outcomes.
As a recovering addict, I could see behavior patterns in the main character Rachel. I know what it’s like to feel like crap and want to quit but wake up with a reason to justify continuing the madness.
Life can spiral out of control quickly as it did for Rachel when you can’t remember things and are trying to piece together events that you have lost in your foggy “high.”
Some of the clues that the author leaves along the way are genius and I have to say that I give this book a double thumbs up for a fictional crime thriller. In fact, if I had three thumbs, I would give it three thumbs up!
Thank you for joining us in reading this great book and be sure to check out July’s book!
See you between the pages!
