3 Tips for School Success Month

September is School Success Monthand I have three tips to help you succeed in class. I want to be clear about something, though. This is the “do as I say, not as I did” video blog of the day.

  • So, Tip #1. Show up and sit in front of the class. I had my biggest problems just showing up. Walking through the front door of the classroom may be the toughest part. But, I promise once you’re there, everything gets better. Show up to your class and sit in the front of the room. It will actually help you pay attention.
  •

  • Tip #2. Ask questions and participate. Make sure that your teacher actually knows that you’re there. And guess what? By asking questions and participating, you actually get to learn more stuff!
  •

  • And most importantly, Tip #3. See your teachers in their office hours. Those teachers are human beings and they get lonely. They want to help! So please, make sure that you treat them accordingly. The more you show up in their office hours, the better those grades are going to be.
So, do as I say, not as I did, and I promise, your transcripts are going to look a lot better than mine!
